Charge Capture FAQ
Yes. Charges captured without a network connection queue locally and sync automatically once the device reconnects. Designed for remote clinics, rural practices, and bedside encounters in areas with spotty connectivity.
Medmio integrates via HL7 v2 and FHIR REST, which virtually every modern EMR supports. Pre-built connectors include Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Epic, Cerner, NextGen, and others. For non-standard or legacy systems we’ll scope a custom interface through our services team.
Yes. The Medmio platform is HIPAA-compliant and meets HITECH requirements. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (256-bit AES). All processing happens in AWS environments under a signed Business Associate Agreement. We never use customer data for model training.
Yes. Built-in voice dictation captures clinical notes hands-free. Dictated text flows directly to CodeSightTM for automated ICD-10 and CPT coding, then back into your EMR — one workflow, no transcription middleware.
Standard rollouts take 2–6 weeks from contract to production, including HL7/FHIR integration with your EMR, staff training, and a documented pilot-to-production runbook. Multi-site groups and custom EHR dialects take longer; we scope upfront and tell you which bucket you’re in on the discovery call.
